You will need
Download and print the template. Cut out your chosen pompom size including the hole in the middle, to make two doughnut discs. The bigger the discs the larger the pompom.
Trace around the template on a thin piece of card and cut out the doughnut discs.
Lay one doughnut shape on top of the other and wrap the wool through the hole.
Continue to wrap the wool through the doughnut shape until the whole shape is covered and no card can be seen.
Snip the wool between the doughnuts all the way round to create frayed edges.
Cut a long piece (10 cm minimum although it is dependent on the size of the pompom) of the coloured wool and place it in-between the two doughnut discs.
Tie the ends of the wool together and pull. Make a slit in each of the thin pieces of card and then remove them.
Snip the long piece of wool up to the pompom to complete. For a neater pompom you can snip around it.
Use the same method to make a range of pompoms in different sizes and colours.
