You will need
- Coloured card (we used card that is pink on one side and white on the other)
- Hole punch
- A pencil
- Sticky tape
- Heart card template – download the printable here
Download and print the heart card template. Position a coloured piece of card behind the printable and cut away the bottom section with the arrow shapes on to use later.
Fold in half along the dotted line to create a card.
Keep the card folded and cut along the dotted line of the heart shape, starting from the bottom. Make sure you stop just before the top of the dotted line just so you don’t completely cut out the shape.
Make two slits in the middle of the heart shape for the pencil to slot through.
Remove the template and start to decorate. We hole-punched strips of coloured card and glued leftover circles onto the heart shape and spelled out the word ‘love’.
Cut out your chosen arrow shape from the bottom section of the printable template, trace on to a coloured piece of card and cut out the shapes.
Slot the pencil through the slits and secure the arrow tip and feather on either end of the pencil with a bit of sticky tape.
Write a message in the inside of the card and give to your loved one, alongside a surprise breakfast in bed. Need some inspiration for breakfast? See these breakfast recipes on Tesco Real Food.
