How to make drawer dividers

Tired of messy drawers? Get organised with these clever DIY drawer organisers.

You will need

  • Card boxes (we’ve used an empty tissue box, cereal box and other small boxes)
  • Marker pen
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Wrapping paper
  • Glue stick
  • Sticky tape

Step 1

Arrange your cardboard boxes in the drawer like a jigsaw, filling up the space. Use a marker pen to indicate where you will need to cut so the drawer can close easily.

Tip: Take a photo of the box arrangement at this stage so you can easily slot them into place afterwards.

Step 2

Using scissors, cut the lid off the tissue box. Cut your other boxes at the same level you marked earlier.

Step 3

Wrap the boxes in wrapping paper. Use sticky tape to reinforce the edges of the box to make it stronger – this will also help to prevent any tearing.

Step 4

Slot all of your decorated boxes back into the drawer, using the photo you took earlier as a guide.

Step 5

Fill the drawer with all your random knick knacks, and take a big sigh of relief at how organised and de-cluttered your drawer finally is!
