Wow your dinner guests with these rustic place settings for your Christmas table – here’s a simple step-by-step tutorial.

You will need

  • Rosemary sprigs – about 4 inches long
  • Thin wire or thread
  • Ribbon
  • Paper
  • Pen

Step 1

Gently bend two rosemary sprigs, being careful not to break off any leaves.

Step 2

Using a piece of wire or thread, carefully bind the two sprigs together. Sandwich ties will also work just as well – just remove the outer plastic.

Step 3

Connect the other ends using the wire, to form a circle.

Step 4

Using white pen, write the name of your guest on a strip of red paper and place it in the middle of your rosemary wreath. Cut a V-shape at each end so it resembles a neat ribbon.

Step 5

Make a bow out of the ribbon and place it on the top of the garland. You can use a piece of wire or glue to secure it in place.

Step 6

Present your rosemary wreath place cards flat down on a napkin or rest it on a folded card so it sits upright.

Tip: If you don’t have any rosemary, you can use sage or fern for an equally impressive mini wreath.
