Repurpose a whole bunch of things from around the house with our simple DIY tips

Upscale your home the easy way

Have you heard of washi tape? It’s a decorative tape that sticks to pretty much any surface but is easy to peel off and doesn’t leave any residue. You can use washi tape to decorate simple vases, update a plain cabinet or spruce up some old stools.

A chic home doesn’t need to be costly, we asked home stylist Hannah Read-Baldrey to show us how to create a colour block candle from crayons – it’s so easy!

We’ve also got loads of ideas to upcycle a Mason jar – it’s more than just a sweetie jar.

Entertain the kids for free

You don’t have to buy mountains of toys to keep them out of your hair, there’s lots of fun to be had with recyclables.

Why not help them make this bird feeder from an old juice carton? It will keep them busy for hours and they’ll learn a little about nature.

If the weather’s good get out in the garden and try one of these brilliant garden projects for kids using whatever is left in the recycling box – and much of it is biodegradable too.

Revamp your wardrobe

There is so much you can do with your old clothes to give yourself a new look.

We asked celebrity stylist, Phill Tarling, to show us how to breathe new life into a well-worn shirt using old jewellery. It’s a super-easy sewing project that refreshes an unused piece for the new season ahead.
