You will need
- 2 sheets A4 or A3 gold paper or card
- glue stick
- 10p or £2 coin (depending on the size of your wheel)
Begin by folding your two sheets of paper in a concertina style. Make sure the width of each fold is the same – our folds are 1in (2.5cm). Cut off any excess from the ends.
Put one folded paper concertina on top of the other and tie them together in the middle using the string. Leave a length of string to hang your pinwheel from once it’s finished.
Open out both pieces of paper to make a fan and glue the two halves together to form one continuous wheel.
Cover the knot, if you like, by drawing around the coin on leftover paper, cutting out a circle and gluing over the centre.
