How to make Christmas gift boxes from crisp tubes

They’re the perfect size for Christmas edible gifts and you can use up off-cuts of wrapping paper.

You will need

  • Empty crisps tube
  • Off-cuts of wrapping paper
  • Double-sided sticky tape or glue
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors

Step 1

Cut several pieces of wrapping paper to size so the paper can wrap all the way around the tube.

Step 2

Use double-sided tape to secure the wrapping paper in place.

Step 3

Add strips of different wrapping paper to create a striped pattern. It's best to choose one plain colour and one that has a design for better contrast.

Step 4

Fill the tube with edible gifts like cookies, sweets or chocolates. Pop the lid on and attach a ribbon, tying a bow at the top.

Tip: Old clean jam jars or mason jars work just as well. Fill with edible gifts such as chocolates, biscuits, sweets or mints. Tie a ribbon around the jar and finish with a bow.
