You will need:
- Red-headed pins (or a regular pin and a small red bead)
- Monkey nuts
- Light brown pipe cleaner
- Small garden twigs
- Black marker pen
- Coloured craft tags
- Double-sided tape or strong glue
- Coloured thread or wool
Using the pin, make four small holes at the one end of the monkey nut for the ears and antlers, and another small hole at the other end for the nose.
Cut off two small pieces of pipe cleaner, about 1.5cm, and strip the fluff off one end (about 0.5cm). Poke the bare ends into the holes you made in the nut, creating two furry ears.
Trim your twigs to an appropriate size and push them into the other holes you made in the top of the nut, to look like antlers.
Using the black marker pen, draw on the eyes.
Push the pin through the bottom end of the nut and leave it in place to form the nose. Glue in place if necessary.
Stick the nut firmly to the centre of the craft tag using double-sided tape or strong glue. Finish with a piece of coloured thread or wool, so you can tie your tag on to the gift.
Instead of sticking your finished reindeer to a tag, you could use a needle to thread a piece of ribbon through the back of the nut and tie to create a loop, so it becomes a Christmas tree decoration.
