You will need
- Squeezy bottles or used plastic bottles
- Black marker
- Warm water
- A range of liquid food colourings
- Muffin tray
Label the plastic bottle with the name of the colour using a black marker.
Half fill the bottle with cornflour.
Fill up the bottle with the same amount of warm water.
Add four or five drops of food colouring to the bottle.
Secure the lid and shake the bottle until the ingredients are mixed. You may need to stir the mixture with the end of a paintbrush to make sure it is entirely mixed.
Repeat this process to make other colours.
Squeeze out the colours into something that has compartments. We’ve used a muffin tray, but an ice cube tray would work just as well.
Get painting on the pavement in the garden. To remove, just rinse with water. You can also use the liquid chalk paints on an ordinary chalkboard, perfect for rainy days.
