How to get more points on your Tesco Clubcard

Using a Tesco Clubcard at a self-service checkout

It’s not just groceries that can bag you points for money-saving buys. Here are some alternative ideas to boost your Clubcard balance.

1. Recycling

You probably know that every time you reuse a bag in store, you can get a green Clubcard point, but you can also get rewarded when you recycle other household items, too. You can get up to 125 points for every inkjet printer cartridge you recycle via Freepost, and one point for every two aluminium cans and aerosols, at selected locations nationwide.

2. Gift cards

We all have that friend who’s impossible to buy for, so a voucher is usually the go-to, easy gift. While it might sound cheeky, you can actually get 150 points when you spend £50 on a selected gift card at Tesco (which includes places such as Pizza Express, Argos, Homebase, New Look and H&M – but excludes Xbox, F&F, blinkbox and Tesco gift cards). Presents for them and points for you – sounds like a good deal to us.

3. LivingSocial

Deal and discount super-site, LivingSocial offers lots of great ways to save money on everything from spa days and coffee makers to mattresses and language courses. For every £1 you spend on the site, you can receive one Tesco Clubcard point.

4. Shopper Thoughts

If you value great service or wish you could have your say on the products in the aisles, then perhaps you’d like to share your opinions on Shopper Thoughts. It’s free to sign up and the more surveys you take, the more points you earn.

5. Esso

Fill up your tank all while clocking up some extra points at Esso and Tesco petrol filling stations.

6. TopCashBack

If you shop online then TopCashBack can get you money back on items you buy from 1,000s of retailers. Plus, for every 1p of CashBack earned you get one Clubcard point.

7. blinkbox

If you’re a fan of a Saturday night film in front of the telly or can’t get enough of Game of Thrones, then you’ve probably considered an online streaming and download service. blinkbox doesn’t require any subscription, you just pay for what you want to watch and get one point for every £1 you spend.

8. NutriCentre

Every time you stock up on vitamins, sports nutrition, beauty products or food and drink from NutriCentre you can earn value Clubcard points, one for every £1 spent.
